Indoor Fun!
There is a wide range of toys for children of all ages and stages of development to play with. The children have free access to the toys and are encouraged to select what they would like to play with, (subject to health and safety for children under 3). Some of which include: puzzles, mark making and craft activities, messy play, construction toys, water / sand play, cooking, reading / story telling, small world toys.
Outdoor Fun!
There is a fairly large, secure front garden, with covered sandpit, toddler swing and slide and other outdoor play equipment. I encourage the children to help in the garden and gain first hand experience of sowing, watering and growing plants. We take regular advantage of the fields that we live nearby by going on nature walks.
Outings!
We take regular visits out and about in the village making full use of the space and Millennium Meadow at Eyes Meadow and the local park and its new play equipment. We walk to the local shops, post office, bank and thoroughly enjoy the twice a month story sessions at the library. We sometimes like to hop on the bus or train to travel further a field to visit Matlock Bath, Markeaton Park or take a picnic and feed the ducks at Belper River Gardens, Allestree Park, and Darley Park.
