Our daily routine and activities largely depend on the age and stage of development of the children in my care; therefore it varies on a daily basis. We have a set routine established for meal / snack times, rest times, and for dropping children off at school and collecting them at the end of the day. Nappy changes and potty time are done as and when needed, rather than following a set schedule.

This is a rough guide to what we do during the day but everything can change, for example we like to take advantage of weather changes and have a picnic out, splash in puddles, play out in the snow.
7.30 – 9am
Arrivals, breakfast, free play, school drop offs
9 – 11am (snack 10am)
Craft / messy play, outdoor play/ park/ outing, reading, mark making, sand/water play, free play
11 – 11.30am
Music and movement, song and rhyme time
11.30am – 12pm
Free play whilst lunch is prepared
12pm – 1pm
Lunch time
1pm – 2.30pm (snack 2pm – 3pm)
Nap time, reading, puzzles, colouring, and quiet activities for those that don’t nap
2.30pm – 4pm
Craft/ messy play, free play, outdoor play, school pick ups
4pm – 5.30pm (high tea 4.15 onwards)
Free play, after school activities, homework, video times, outdoor play, stories till pick up
