The children in my care have access to all the areas downstairs in our newly built extension.  All of the rooms have under floor heating and are also fitted with radiators / heated towel rails which are regulated at a child friendly, safe temperature for the colder months.

Playroom

Is a large, light and airy room.  The room is multifunctional and comprises of 3 main areas: messy / eating area, large floor play space, chill out zone. In the chill out, quiet area children are encouraged to read and relax on the fold out futon chairs which can also be used for naps for the older children.  A travel cot is available for younger children to take naps in. I encourage the children to have free access to toys which are situated in the playroom.

A PC with monitored access to the internet is also available for the children to do their homework on.

Bathroom

This is located downstairs and provides toileting and hand washing facilities and is also fitted with a large shower.

Kitchen

Children are not allowed access to the kitchen during cooking periods, kitchen / play room entrance is fitted with a child safety gate.

Garden

We have a fairly large, enclosed and secure front garden, which is equipped with a sand pit, and various outdoor toys.  We are also situated just a short walk from open fields, and Grays Recreation Ground.
